WHY THE RISE UP COMMITMENT?
Women in our area are craving a more close, deep and rich relationship with God – and others. Women in our area desire to have a more energetic and balanced holistic lifestyle by eating well and exercising, but may not always feel supported, or know where to
begin. Based on multiple challenges and THREE communities of women who have also completed the commitment over the past four years, and the testimonies of others who have completed those challenges, there is an opportunity for:
- Heightened sensitivity to God’s presence
- A more resolute sense of God’s calling and direction
- An overall sense of well-being
- More energy
- Increased libido
- Improved relationships
- A sense of healthy connectedness to others
- Stronger immune system
- Diminished hunger for food
- Weight loss or decreased body fat and size

WHAT WILL THE RISE UP COMMITMENT REQUEST OF YOU?
- Resolve to begin, continue, and complete the commitment
- Commitment to pray for everyone
- Release of self-criticism and criticism of others (if we’re praying it’s difficult to be critical)
- Authentic and honest communication; ain't nobody got time for games
- Continual communication with at least one other person participating
- Positive attitude
- Resolve to trust and allow the Holy Spirit to bring conviction in our lives and the lives of our Sisters
- Sense of humor (see bullet four, that wasn’t intended to offend)
- Appreciation and respect for the fact this group may be cross-denominational and cross-cultural, but we are one Body in Christ, representing Christ, to those to whom this may be an outreach
- Understanding that we’re all human – grace is especially needed – judgment is not
- $70 per person registration once accepted
WHAT THE RISE UP COMMITMENT IS NOT
(Sorry, we have to address what may feel “icky” up front, and it is not intended to be harsh. Everyone considering must understand the heart and intent of God for this season of intentionality. It is my desire and conviction to protect His purpose and the hearts of others. In order for everyone, at every place on their journey, to be loved and God be honored, we must be willing to set some things aside for a season)
- It is not an opportunity to promote products – oils, shakes, wraps, special food items, etc.
- It is not an opportunity to gossip or share the challenges, needs, and struggles of our Sisters or those God may be drawing in to be our Sisters in Christ Jesus. None of us would like it if our family physician shared all our intimate ailments, would we?
- It is not an opportunity to gather for a season to complain or talk negatively about others – we are focused only on ourselves, our growth in Christ and our personal relationship with Him – FOR the sake of being able to better physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually love and encourage others, as we sense He is uniquely calling each of us to
- It is not an opportunity to compare ourselves to one another, and where we may be on our unique journey with Jesus
- It is not an opportunity to argue denominations, theology, etc.
- It is not an opportunity to only observe, and not interact in person or online, or establish and strengthen connections. This is not a ten-week opportunity to have a “reality TV” experience at the cost of others being vulnerable
- It is not solely a weight-loss program – but a holistic approach to being better equipped and positioned to be all God needs us to be, right where we are, while moving us forward to who He desires we become, in 2021
