​You know that new thing I mentioned in my last post? And the breakthrough that accompanies settling into it? It's all hogwash! Well, this is what my flesh (or perhaps the enemy) would like me to think.

As we near the end of the fourth full week of 2021 all I can think is, "This sure has not been a walk in a field of sunshine and posies!" I pray this first month is not an indication of what the year will look like, but if it is guess what? Everything will be alright, as long as we continue to keep our eyes on the Lord.

Here is a bit of a rundown of how I have been "hit" as I resolved to forge full steam ahead into the promise of God...

• discord in my home flared up BIG TIME - not just a little spat - more like "is this the enemy incarnate" right now???
• following this flare up, my body wanted to resort to an old response to traumatic stress... sleep, cry, rinse, repeat
• the call no mother wants to receive came, our daughter was in a serious car accident
• fatigue and confusion has been doing its best to give way to depression (another old response my body has been trying to resort to)

BUT GOD!!! I won't paint a picture of how perfectly I have remained stable and unshaken. Funny isn't it? The Lord entrusts to me the message to encourage others to go Beyond and LIVE UNSHAKABLE and then the shaking takes place in my own life. My faith in God's goodness have remained steadfast and I praise God He has brought me to a place in my faith where I desire to see the areas I have been holding onto tighter than I should. I thank Him for allowing me the opportunity to let go and squeeze tighter HIM and the plans He has for me. He is so good. So good, I must share the testimony following the hardships...

• the discord ultimately led to conversations, revelation, deeper intimacy and a desire to live love, forgiving seven times seventy times
• rather than beet myself up for resting, I allowed it and I am better able to continue on healthy and strong
• my daughter should not be here; after passing out due to a hypoglycemic episode that then caused her foot to accelerate up to at least 70 mph, crossing a field where she was then halted by striking a tree - I KNOW GOD'S ANGELS were protecting her
• depression will not set in, because my God is greater, stronger and HIGHER than anything on earth attempting to take me down
• rather than slip into the midnight oblivion, Holy Spirit allowed me to slip into His presence through the fluidity of a new creative process and I am loving it!

Friends, if this year has not been off to the greatest start for you, please spend time with the Lord HOWEVER He leads YOU to. Do not forsake time with Him. Read the Word, pray, worship, pause and allow Holy Spirit to minister to you. And if you are ashamed of how you may or may not have handled the rapid-fire punches. Let. It. Go.

We are not perfect, but we rest in a perfect God, unphased by our flesh and mishaps. He actually DOES transform anything intended for evil and turns it for good. If we will allow Him to.
